Jeremy Christie

Jeremy Christie (born 22 May 1983; Whangarei ) is a New Zealand soccer player. The midfielder plays for the New Zealand national team.

Club career

Christie was established in 2000 jointly committed with his compatriot David Mulligan from the English club Barnsley FC and was on 16 January 2002 in the FA Cup his competitive debut for the club. After a further application in the league Christie returned to New Zealand and played until 2004 with the Football Kingz in the Australian National Soccer League. National

Christie played for the U17, U20 and U23 selection of the New Zealand Association. With the U17, he took part in 1999 as captain of the U17 World Cup in their own country.

In 2005 he made ​​his debut against Australia in the New Zealand national team. In 2009 he participated with the New Zealand selection at the Confederations Cup in South Africa. A year later at the Football World Cup 2010, which also took place in South Africa. In the first group match, a 1-1 draw against Slovakia he came on in the 78th minute for Ivan Vicelich.
