Jermaine Gonzales

Jermaine Gonzales (* November 26, 1984 in Saint Catherine Parish ) is a Jamaican sprinter who specializes in the 400 -meter run.

Career

At age 16, Gonzales won the bronze medal in the 400 - meter race at the IAAF World Youth Championships 2001 in Debrecen. The same placement, he reached the following year at the IAAF World Junior Championships in 2002 in Kingston.

First international experience gained Gonzales at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, where he was disqualified, however, with the Jamaican 4 x 400 - meter relay after preroll. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne he won the bronze medal in the relay and finished well over 400 meters in third.
