Jerry's Cousin

Lesson for Tom is an American animated short film directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera from the year 1951.

Action

Jerry writes a letter to his cousin Muscles, considered hunter feared cats in his town. Muscles travels immediately to Jerry and puts up a fight with Tom. First, he disposed of the dynamite sticks from Jerry's mouse hole in Tom's mouth, Tom beats later, when it interferes with eating, and is annoyed when Tom both mice do not let you sleep peacefully in his cat carrier.

Tom now hires three bats cats, but against Muscles have no chance. Tom gives up, falls before Muscles on his knees and kissing his feet. Muscles can now depart, but Jerry leaves his clothes because with the indication to only have to whistle. Jerry dresses now as Muscles and whistles. Tom appears immediately, Jerry kissing the feet and the mouse is thrilled.

Production

Lesson for Tom was finished in 1950 and was released on April 7, 1951 as part of the MGM cartoon series Tom and Jerry. It was the 57th animated film in the series. The mouse Muscles is voiced by Paul Frees.

Lesson for Tom in 1951 for an Oscar in the category " Best Animated Short Film " nomination, but could not prevail against Gerald McBoing - Boing itself.
