Jesse Williams (athlete)

Jesse Williams ( * December 27 1983 in Modesto ) is an American high jumper.

He was U.S. vice- champion in 2005 and retired in denWeltmeisterschaften in Helsinki in the qualifier. The following year he finished eighth at the World Athletics Final. In 2007, he did not come at the World Championships in Osaka beyond the preliminary round and was re- eighth in the world finals.

In 2008, he was sixth at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia and won the U.S. eliminator for the Olympic Games in Beijing, where not handed him a skipped height of 2.25 m for the next round in the first round. At the World Finals in 2008 and 2009 he was third.

In 2010 he finished fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Doha and won the U.S. title in both the indoor and outdoor use. At the World Championships in Daegu Williams was skipped with a height of 2.35 m world champion. But in London he went at the Olympic Games as a final Ninth empty out.

Jesse Williams is 1,83 m tall and weighs 67 kg. He is coached by Cliff Rovelto and starts for Nike. As a student he performed until 2003 for the North Carolina State University and until 2006 for the University of Southern California.
