Jeziorka, SÅ‚upsk County

Jeziorka ( German Gesorke, 1938-45 small hydro, Kashubian Jézorka ) is a small village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the rural community Damnica ( Hebrondamnitz ) in the powiat Słupski ( Stolp ).

Geographical location

Jeziorka is located northeast of the county town of Slupsk ( Stolp ) on a side street that Grapice ( Grapitz ) with Szczypkowice ( Zipkow ) connects. The nearest train station is seven kilometers away Potegowo ( Pottangow ) on the railway line from Stargard in Pomerania to Gdańsk.

Place name

The name comes Jeziorka in Poland before as the name of two rivers.

History

To Gesorke 1784 consisted of a Vorwerk and two Kossäten with three fireplaces. In 1804 the estate was owned by Wilhelm von Bonin, after which it moved to family Hildebrandt, until it finally came to Georg von Boehn, whose son Joachim was the last owner before 1945. The estate was 1938 410 acres - of which 363 hectares of arable land and the rest pastures, meadows, forest and infertile land.

In 1910, 89 people lived in Gutsbezirk Gesorke. The place belonged to the district of Stolp in Pomerania Region of the Prussian province of Pomerania.

With the local government reform in 1927/28 Gesorke lost its independence and became a village in the municipality Lojow (now Polish: Łojewo ). In 1937, the venue became known as small hydro.

After the invasion of the Russians on March 8, 1945 took place in the spring of 1946 the Poles in possession. The place was called Jeziorka and is now part of Gmina Damnica in powiat Słupski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship ( Stolp 1975-1998 Voivodeship ). Here now is 40 people.

Church

In Gesorke respectively small water were the inhabitants before 1945 almost all Protestant denomination. The village belonged to the parish Stojentin ( Stowięcino ) in the church Stolp - old town in the Province of Pomerania Ostsprengel the Church of the Church of the Old Prussian Union. Last German clergyman before 1945 was minister Rudolf Kaun.

Since 1945, the population of Jeziorka is predominantly Catholic. The village is now in the parish Damno ( dams ) incorporated in the diocese Pelplin of the Catholic Church in Poland in the Dean's Office Główczyce ( Glowitz ). Here surviving Protestant church members belong to a branch church Główczyce the Cross parish in Slupsk ( Stolp ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

School

The school was in Gesorke stage until 1945. In 1932 she visited 29 school children. Last German school teacher holder was Giese.
