Jill Stein

Jill Stein ( born May 14, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American physician and politician. She was a candidate in the presidential election in the United States in 2012 for the Green Party.

Stone grew up in Highland Park. She attended Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. The latter, she graduated from in 1979. Stein is married and has two sons.

Stone ran several times for the Massachusetts-based Green- Rainbow Party. So she joined in 2002 against Mitt Romney by the Office of the Governor of Massachusetts to, candidate in 2004 for a seat in the House of Representatives of Massachusetts, and two years later for the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. In 2010 she ran for the second time for the office of governor, but was defeated again, this time the Democratic incumbent Deval Patrick.

In 2012 she was set up by the Green Party of the United States as a presidential candidate. Cheri Honkala was vice presidential candidate. When attempting to participate in the second televised debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, they were arrested on October 16, because they blocked the traffic.
