Joelle Franzmann

Joelle Franzmann ( born December 29, 1978 in Idar -Oberstein, Rhineland -Palatinate ) is a German triathlete and a former member of the German Triathlon team.

Career

Joelle Franzmann has two siblings, and she made her Abitur in Kaiserslautern. Since 1998 she has been stationed as a soldier in time of a sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Mainz. Your training location is Saarbrücken.

Joelle was already 15 years old German Champion and European Junior Champion. In the years following German and European Championships followed at youth level. She was also vice-world champion in triathlon in 1996. Some of their titles, they could also win in the duathlon.

In 2000, she became German champion in Frankfurt am Main. There followed three runner-up ( 2001, 2003 and 2004). At the World Championships in Queenstown, New Zealand, in 2003, she was fifth at the Olympic Distance (1.5 km swim, 40 km cycling and 10 km running) and then in 2004 Fourth. By late 2004, Joelle Franzmann reached eight German championships, five runner-up and three European championships. In 2005, she managed to win the German championship title once again on the race course in Potsdam. In 2006, she reached the seventh place at the World Cup.

In October 2009, she retired from the German national team.
