Johan Renck
Johan Renck ( born December 5, 1966 in Uppsala ) is a Swedish musician and director.
Life and work
Renck celebrated in the early 1990s under the name Stakka Bo ( a slang term for " Stockholm Boys" ), in cooperation with several Swedish musicians, some international chart success. His single Here We Go reached in September 1993, both in the UK as well as in the German charts placing it in the top 20
He holds a degree in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, and since 1999 Renck made his name as a video director. Among other things, created clips for Madonna (Nothing Really Matters, Hung Up ), Suede (She's In Fashion ), All Saints ( Black Coffee ), New Order (Crystal, Krafty ), Kylie Minogue ( Love At First Sight ), Beyonce (Me, Myself And I), The Streets ( Dry Your Eyes) and Robbie Williams ( Tripping ).
Rencks first film Downloading Nancy appeared on January 15, 2010 in the German version. The drama - whose world premiere took place on 21 January 2008 at the Sundance Film Festival - tells the tragic story of Borderlinerin Nancy ( Maria Bello ), which breaks out of the oppressive circumstances of her loveless marriage and meets with another difficult and painful to certain people called Louis. The approximately 3 million U.S. dollar movie took place in the German-speaking countries among the critics attention. Thus, for instance on the online culture magazine Artifarti " the frozen life hope of a sad character " experiencing " a heated cinematic accentuation ". The title track for the movie wrote and sang Renck along with his fellow countryman Joakim Berg from the band Kent.
Renck resulted in the television series Breaking Bad in three episodes of seasons 2, 3 and 4 Director. In addition, he directed an episode of The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad as the one shown on the TV channel AMC.
Renck created the designs of the 3 bottles of Absolut Vodka exposure to each of which the Model Lydia Hearst is seen. The bottles will be available in January 2013.
