Johanna Matz
Johanna ( " Hannerl " ) Matz ( born October 5, 1932 in Vienna) is an Austrian actress chamber.
Life
Even as a four year old, she received ballet lessons with Toni Birkmeyer. From 1940 to 1948 she attended the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 1950 she graduated from the Max -Reinhardt-Seminar. At the final performance, she was discovered by Berthold Viertel and committed to the Burgtheater. She remained as a member of the house connected to 1993.
In 1951, she was discovered by Ernst Marischka for the film and had the same year, her film debut. 1953, she was brought by the director Otto Preminger to Hollywood, where they in the German version of "The Moon is Blue " played (Eng. "The Virgin on the Roof" ). Since the late sixties, the popular actress mainly worked for the Austrian television.
Johanna Matz embodied incomparably the type of the " Viennese girls".
She now lives retired in Vienna and Unterach.
