John F. Noll

John Francis Noll ( born January 25, 1875 in Fort Wayne, Indiana; † July 31, 1956 ) was Roman Catholic bishop of Fort Wayne.

Life

John Francis Noll received on 4 June in 1898 by the Bishop of Fort Wayne, Joseph Rademacher, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

Pope Pius XI. appointed him on 12 May 1925 Bishop of Fort Wayne. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal George William Mundelein on June 30th of the same year; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Nashville, Alphonse John Smith, and the Bishop of Corpus Christi, Emmanuel Boleslaw Ledvina.

On September 2, 1953 he was awarded Pope Pius XII. the personal title archbishop.
