John Graysmark
John Richard Gray Mark ( born March 26, 1935 in London, United Kingdom, † October 10, 2010 in Los Angeles, United States) was a British art director.
Life and work
About his father, who had been employed at the Elstree Film Studios, John Gray Mark tied early contact with the film industry. At age 13, he attended a special school of architecture and has worked as a teenager in the architectural profession. At the age of 21, he was in Anatole Litvak's Anastasia his debut as a film artist. Over the next twelve years, Mark Gray worked hard to film architect, most recently as chief architect of Zuarbeiter as Don Ashton and John Howell. In these subordinate roles, he was also ambitious large-scale productions such as The Guns of Navarone, Lawrence of Arabia, Lord Jim, and 2001: A Space Odyssey involved.
