John Hamburg

John Hamburg ( born May 26, 1970 in New York as John Liman Hamburg ) is an American film director, producer and screenwriter.

Life

John Hamburg was born in New York City. He is the son of New York's Radio spokeswoman Joan Hamburg and the cousin of the director and producer Doug Liman. Hamburg attended Brown University in 1992 and received his degree in history. He then went to the private film school, Tisch School of the Arts, which is one of the fifteen schools of NYU.

He is married to actress Christina Kirk since 24 September 2005.

Career

In 1996, Hamburg presented his short film Tick finished and presented it to the Sundance Film Festival.
