John Juanda

Johnson (John) Juanda ( born July 8, 1971 in Indonesia) is a professional poker player from the United States.

Life

Juanda grew up in Indonesia and moved in 1990 to Oklahoma, United States. In high school he was a good sprinter over 200 meters and endurance runners over 5000 meters. He received an MBA from Seattle University. During his studies he earned as a bible salesman something. He started his poker career in 1997 and currently lives in Los Angeles. In 2006 he appeared in the film All In - Poker Face and played with it yourself

Poker

Juanda won five WSOP Tournaments and won the 2001 Jack Binion World Poker Open.

In November 2005 he won $ 500,000 in Monte Carlo: He won the " Monte Carlo Millions Consolation tournament ," was sixth at the " Monte Carlo Millions Main Event " and was second in the FullTiltPoker.Net event.

In January 2006, Juanda sat by, among others, against Barry Greenstein, Tony Bloom and Phil Ivey and won a million AUD at the " speed poker event " of the Aussie Millions.
