John Lee Hiong Fun-Yit Yaw

John Lee Hiong Fun- Yit Yaw ( born October 5, 1933, Jesselton, British North Borneo, Malaysia ) is an emeritus Archbishop of Kota Kinabalu.

Life

John Lee Hiong Fun- Yit Yaw received on December 27, 1964, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 30 March 1987 Bishop of Kota Kinabalu. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Kuching, Peter Chung Hoan Ting, on June 26th of the same year; Anthony Soter Fernandez were co-consecrators, Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur, and Gregory Yong Sooi Ngean, Archbishop of Singapore.

With the elevation to an archdiocese on 23 May 2008, he was appointed Archbishop of Kota Kinabalu.
