Jonathan Lucroy

Jonathan Lucroy Charles ( born June 13, 1986 in Eustis, Florida, United States) is an American baseball player in the major leagues. He currently plays for the Milwaukee Brewers on the position of catcher.

High School and College

Lucroy visited the Umatilla High School in Umatilla, Florida and attended thereafter for three years, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. There he became one of the most successful players in the history of Louisiana Ragin ' Cajuns, the sports team of the University. During his career he achieved many school records: He hit 54 doubles, reached 184 RBIs and reached a total of 414 bases. He was also able to beat the second- most hits in the history of the university with 241 hits in only three seasons. He led the team to national fame and also received doing some personal awards.

Career

Minor Leagues

Lucros was drafted in the MLB Draft 2007 in the third round at a total of 101 position of the Milwaukee Brewers. His first professional game he played in 2007 with the Rookie League Helena Brewers team. In the postseason, he was elected to the All- Star team. In the following season he moved repeatedly between the West Virginia Power and the Brevard County Manatees. During his time at West Virginia, he was elected to the Mid -Season All-Star. The entire 2009 season spent Lucroy at the Huntsville Stars and here he was, for the third time in a row, an award as Mid -Season All-Star in the Southern League. Major League Baseball
