Joonas Nättinen

Joonas Nättinen (born 3 January 1991 Jämsä ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player standing since 2011 with the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League under contract and playing in parallel for their farm team in Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

Career

Joonas Nättinen began his career as a hockey player in the junior division of JYP Jyväskylä, where he C to the A- juniors all levels went through 2005-2008 by the respective highest league in Finland. He then moved to the Espoo Blues, for their first team, he made his debut in the SM- liiga in the 2008 /09 season. In his rookie year, the Centre remained no points in 14 games. He also ran for Espoo in five games of the Champions Hockey League. In his three years with the Espoo Blues, he played in parallel continue for the A- juniors of the association as well as for the Finnish U20 national team in Mestis, the Finnish second division. In the 2009/10 season he joined the Players out on loan in ten games for Hokki Kajaani in the Mestis used in the following season for HPK Hämeenlinna to eleven missions in the SM- liiga.

For the 2011/12 season was Nättinen of the Montreal Canadiens, who had chosen him already in the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the third round than a total of 65 players summoned to North America, where he plays for their farm team in Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

Internationally

For Finland Nättinen took at junior level at the U18 World Junior Championships in 2008 and 2009 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2010 and 2011 in part. In the 2009 U18 World Cup he won with his team the bronze medal at the 2011 U20 World Cup, he was elected one of the three best players of his team.
