Jorma Etelälahti

Jorma Kalevi Etelälahti ( born November 17, 1951 in Toivakka ) is a retired Finnish Nordic skier.

Career

Etelälahti, who started for the club Lahti Hiihtoseura, made ​​his international debut at the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1976. In the individual he is number one 24th place. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1978 in Lahti, he reached the 17th place in the individual. In 1979, he won his first Finnish championship title. At the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, he landed in a single on the 13th Place. A short time later, he won his second title at the Finnish Championships.

In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1982 in Oslo Etelälahti won jointly with Jouko Karjalainen and Rauno Miettinen the silver medal in the team competition in nordic combined.

Some time after the end of his active career in Lahti Etelälahti bought an old flax mill, which he now operates as a museum and there presented the possibilities of flax processing.
