Jose de Venecia, Jr.

Jose De Venecia " JDV " Jr. ( born December 26, 1936 in Dagupan City ) is a Filipino politician.

Biography

Professional and political career in the Marcos era

The son of a judge completed his school education at the Dagupan Elementary School and between 1947 to 1951 at the De La Salle College High School in Dagupan City. Later he entered the diplomatic service and was last 1966-1969 Counsellor for Economic Affairs.

De Venecia began his political career in 1969 with the first election to the House of Representatives of the Philippines, which he by President Ferdinand Marcos belonged to the imposition of martial law in 1972.
