José Pintos Saldanha

José Pintos Saldanha, full name José Luis Pintos Saldanha out as José Pintos Saldaña ( born March 25, 1964 in Artigas ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

The 1.70 meter tall, El Chango called defender Pintos Saldanha belonged 1984-1994 squad Nacional. With the Bolsos he won the Copa Libertadores in 1988, where he was in two finals against Newell's Old Boys in the grid. He was also a member of the Uruguayan national team and made his debut in Celeste on June 23, 1987. His 12th and final international game, he completed on 7 July 1991. A international goal he did not achieve. During this time he participated in the 1990 World Cup in part, in which he not ran aground in the three group matches in the knockout round defeat against Italy but eventually was used. In 1987 he was with the national team South American champions in the Copa América in Argentina. He also was a member of the Uruguayan squad at the Copa América 1989, which ended Uruguay in second place. The playout of the tournament in 1991, he was also in the squad.
