Joseph Patrick Hurley
Joseph Patrick Hurley ( born January 21, 1894 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, † October 30, 1967 ) was Bishop of Saint Augustine.
Life
Joseph Patrick Hurley received on 29 May 1919, the sacrament of Holy Orders.
On August 16, 1940, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Bishop of Saint Augustine. Cardinal Secretary of State Luigi Cardinal Maglione, donated to it on 6 October of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Belgium, Clemente Micara, and the Apostolic Delegate to China, Archbishop Celso Costantini. On November 26, 1940, the inauguration took place. Pope Pius XII. gave him on 18 August 1949, personal title of archbishop.
