Joshua Cox

Joshua Cox ( born August 9, 1965 in Rancho San Diego, California) is an American actor.

Life

Cox grew up in New York City. First acting experience from Cox for theater performances during his time in high school. He studied acting at the Actor's Institute in New York and graduated from the Actor's Conservatory Training Program at Purchase College of the State University of New York.

Shortly after graduation, he received his first permanent series role as Dr. Dan Wolek on the television series Love, lies, passion ( 1986-1987). In order to keep themselves in the early years financially afloat, Cox worked as a carpenter for a construction company and as props manufacturer. He was episode roles and guest roles in various American television series. In the series Providence he was in 2000 to see an attractive carpenter Patrick, who is sought by two women. He had in 2000 in the sitcom Friends, a guest role. In 2009 he played the role of private detective Dante Zaretti in the series Melrose Place.

Cox is a qualified rescue diver with a license from PADI; In his spare time he operates Thai boxing. It also occurs as a musician. He is the bass player in the band Skin. With the band Skin, he has performed in Los Angeles, among others at The Gig, at the El Rey Theatre and the legendary Roxy Theatre.

Cox is since July 2007, married to actress Wendy Brown, who was his partner in backgammon. Cox lives (as of November 2010) in Los Angeles.
