Judith Hill

Judith Hill ( born May 6, 1984 in Los Angeles, California) is an American pop and R & B singer. A wider audience, she was known when she sang the song Heal the World at Michael Jackson's official funeral, was under huge media interest.

Biography

Hill was the daughter of the Japanese pianist Michiko and R & B bassist and producer Robert " Peewee " Hill and grew up in a musical household. She is Japanese and African American descent.

Career

After her degree in music composition at Biola University in La Mirada ( Southern California ), Hill went to France in 2007 to work with the French cabaret singer, composer and lyricist Michel Polnareff. When she returned to the United States, she began a career as a singer- songwriter. In the course of her career she worked for artists such as Anastacia (2002), Robbie Williams (2005 ), David Foster ( 2008) and Elton John and Leon Russell ( 2010).

In 2009 she was selected as one of the singers for Michael Jackson's planned comeback tour This Is It. Since Jackson died on 25 June 2009, the tour was canceled. With the rest of This Is Is- crew she sang on 7 July 2009 in addition to other prominent guests at the official funeral of the King of Pop at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Gained worldwide attention Hill when she sang alone the song Heal the World. The funeral, which was broadcast live on television around the world, had about a billion viewers. In the same year she released the song I Will Always Be Missing You - named after her planned duet with Michael Jackson on the This- Is- It- Tour I Just Can not Stop Loving You - as a free download on their website. On January 26, 2010 - the same day the DVD was released to This Is It - This song was also available in iTunes. The total proceeds donated Hill of Child Help USA.
