Julie von Webenau

Julie Weber, Noble of Webenau, née Baroni of Cavalcabò ( Julia of Webenau or Julia Baroni of Cavalcabò ), later married de Britto ( born October 16, 1813 in Lviv, † July 2, 1887 in Graz) was an Austrian- German pianist and composer.

Life

Julie was the daughter of the main Governing Council member Louis Cajetan Baroni - Cavalcabò and the dilettante singer Josephine Baroni - Cavalcabò. She had a sister. In Lviv she was a pupil of Mozart's son Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart. Her mother Josephine Baroni - Cavalcabò became his mistress and sole heir. Robert Schumann dedicated his 1839 Julie Humoresque ( Op 20). He had already met in 1835 in Leipzig and renewed the acquaintance in Vienna. Originally, he had wanted to devote her arabesque (op. 18). On March 13, 1839, he wrote to his wife Clara: " The ' Arabesque ' has the Webenau, get the > flower painting < the Serre, the > Humoresque < - No one; weird, I think even with my dedications something that will always have a connection with the formation, and could find no one to (---) but the world understands the delicacy difficult. " Julie of Webenau devoted Schumann at the turn Kistner released " Morceaux de fantaisie ". Family
