Július Hudáček

Július Hudacek ( born January 13, 1986 in Ves, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak professional ice hockey goaltender who is under contract with HC Pardubice in the Czech Extraliga since November 2013. His brother Libor Hudacek is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Július Hudacek began his career in his hometown at HK Ves ​​before joining for a season to SKP Poprad PS 2004. For Poprad he played in the U18 Junior Extraliga Slovakia. In 2005 he returned to his original club and continued playing for the youth teams.

Prior to the 2007/ 08 season he moved to HK Orange 20, the only members of the U20 Junior National Team members and participates in the Extraliga. At the beginning of the 2008/ 09 moved to HC Košice and was initially provided for the U20 team. However Hudacek won a place in the Extraliga squad of HC Košice and contributed with very good performances in the title of his team. In the following two seasons, he was able to repeat this success with Košice, in which he was elected in all three championship years in the All-Star team the Extraliga. In 2011, he also pointed to the best fishing quota in the league.

In the season 2011/12 Hudacek stood at Södertälje SK in the HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division, under contract, before joining Frölunda HC in the Elitserien, 2012.

In April 2013 he was obliged by HK Sibir Novosibirsk of the Kontinental Hockey League, but completed only one competitive game for Sibir in the KHL. In September 2013, a further goalkeeper Mikko Koskinen was committed and Hudacek dismissed. Then he was out of contract and was signed in November from HC Pardubice of the Czech Extraliga.

Internationally

For Slovakia Hudacek took part in the U20 World Youth Championship 2008, where he finished in seventh place with his team.
