Jung Ji-hyun

Jung Ji -hyun ( born March 26, 1983 in Seoul) is a wrestler from South Korea. The 1.65 -meter Jung was 2004 Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight category up to 60kg. At the Olympic Games in 2008, Jung Ji -hyun was ninth.

He wrestles in Seoul for the Wrestling Club Samsung Life and is coached by Kim In -sub.

  • 2007 3rd place, World Championships in Baku, GR, up to 60kg, after victories over Vitaly Rahimow, Ali Ashkani Agboloag, Iran, Jiang Sheng, China and Yuri Dubinin, Belarus and a defeat against Makoto Sasamoto, Japan
  • 2008 4th place World Cup in Szombathely, GR, to 66 kg behind Ali Mohammadi, Iran, Tamas Lörincz, Hungary and Ambako Wachadse, Russia
  • 2008, 9th place, OS in Beijing, GR, up to 60kg, after a victory over Yuri Dubinin and a defeat against Nurbakyt Tengisbajew, Kazakhstan
