Jürgen Creutzmann

Jürgen Creutzmann ( born October 4, 1945 in Speyer ) is a German politician ( FDP) and since 2009 a member of the European Parliament.

Life and career

Creutz man is born in Speyer, where he went to school up to GCSE. After graduation, he studied in Heidelberg in 1966 Creutz nine semester Business Administration at the University of Mannheim. Subsequently, he worked for an accounting firm, before he moved to BASF in 1973, where he worked until 2006. From 1973 to 1988 he was responsible for the consolidated financial statements of BASF SE group. From 1988 to 2006 he served as "Director Subsidiaries Accounting Services " responsible for the accounting of last about 50 subsidiaries and affiliated companies of BASF.

Creutz man is married and has two children.

Party

In 1965, Creutz man at the Young Democrats, where he was elected to the State Executive Committee. A year later he became a member of the FDP. From 1971 to 1973 he was chairman of the FDP Kreisverbands in Speyer. In 1974 he was co-founder of the FDP Dudenhofen and was elected Chairman of the Association of Municipalities. 1983 Creutz man was elected to the State Executive of the FDP Rhineland-Palatinate and treasurer of his party. This office he performs to this day.

Member of Parliament

From 1974 to 1994 Creutz man was a member of the local council of Dudenhofen and Group Chairman. The chair of the FDP parliamentary group he also held from 1974 to 2009 in the City Council of the municipality Dudenhofen and 2004-2009 in the county council Palatinate. From 1989 to 2009 he was also Chairman of the Group in the council of the district of Ludwigshafen and the Rhein-Pfalz -Kreis. In 1998 he was elected to the Landtag of Rhineland- Palatinate. At first he was inside and media spokesman and 1999-2001 Deputy Chairman of the FDP parliamentary group. From 2001 to 2006 he was Vice President of the Landtag. In 2006 he became chairman of the Committee on European Affairs and tax and European policy spokesman of the FDP.

2009 Creutz has been elected as a deputy in the European Parliament. In the course of Creutz man resigned his seat in Parliament. In the European Parliament is Creutzmann as Treasurer Member of the Executive Board of the FDP delegation, which belongs to the liberal ALDE group. He is a member of the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO), as well as alternates to the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and the Delegation for relations with Canada. In addition, Creutzmann vice chairman of the SME Intergroup, a cross-party working group, which advocates for the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.

As rapporteur of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection presented Creutzmann 22 June 2011 its draft report on online gambling in the internal market. This will be the basis for the position of the European Parliament on a possible EU regulation of online gambling in the internal market.
