Jussi Hautamäki

Jussi Heikki Hautamäki ( born April 20, 1979 in Oulu) is a former Finnish ski jumper and an active musician. His younger brother is Matti Hautamäki, also a former ski jumper.

Sporty

Jussi Hautamäki starts for the club Puijon Hiihtoseura ( Kuopio ). He began 1984 with the ski jumping and debuted in 1995 in the Ski Jumping World Cup jumping in Oberhof, reached in 1996 in Engelberg his first World Cup points. In 1997 he won at the Junior World Championships in Canmore, Canada silver in singles and with the team.

In his career succeeded the Finns to win two Continental Cup. His first victory he celebrated in January 2003 in Bischofshofen, then it took until December 2006 until he was at the top of the podium in Rovaniemi. In the World Cup he stood on the podium five times, each time with the team. His biggest success in a team competition he had when he was part of the winning Finnish team in Willingen 2001. Hautamäki played with his colleagues Ville Kantee (vocals, guitar) and Samppa Lajunen (guitar), Antti Kuisma (vocals, guitar), Kimmo Korhola (keyboard) and Olli Happonen (drums ) in a band called " Vieraileva Tähti " and the style of U2 resembled.
