Jutta Heine

Jutta Heine ( born September 16, 1940 in Hagen; actually Judith Heine ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympic athlete who was successful as a sprinter.

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 Jutta Heine won the silver medal over 200 meters behind the US-American Wilma Rudolph ( gold ) and before the British Dorothy Hyman (bronze). Also the silver medal she won in the 4 x 100 - meter relay along with teammates Martha Langbein, Anni Biechl and Brunhilde Hendrix. She started at these Olympic Games for the Federal Republic in a joint German team.

At the European Championships 1962 in Belgrade, she won the title over 200 meters and is over 100 meters second behind Dorothy Hyman; another silver medal she won the 4 x 100 - meter relay. In the same year Jutta Heine was elected Athlete of the Year.

Jutta Heine also won the German Championships in the 200 - meter race in the years 1959, 1961, 1962 and 1963. In 1960, she finished second in 1964 and third parties. About 100 meters it was German champion in 1962 and finished in 1959 and 1961, second place. She started at the Olympic Games in 1964, but without medal success ( with the 4 x 100 - meter relay number 5 in 44.7 s; in 200 -meter run with two false starts excreted in advance ).

She started for DHC Hannover and Hannover 96 and 1962 for the ASV Köln. In her playing days, she was 1.82 m tall and weighed 71 kg. For her contribution to the sport in Lower Saxony, she was accepted into the gallery of honor of the Lower Saxony Institute for Sports History. Since 1974 she is head of a hotel and riding club in Burglahr in the Westerwald.
