Kamenná (Šumperk District)

Kamenná ( German stones) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers south of Šumperk and belongs to Okres Šumperk.

Geography

Kamenná located at the western foot of the Bradlo ( Bradl stone, 600 m) and the Tří kameny (three- stone, 558 m) in the Úsovská Highlands ( Ausseer hill country).

Neighboring towns are Nedvězí in the north, Obědné in the northeast, Libina in the east, Nová Hradečná and Lipinka the southeast, Veleboř in the south, Bezděkov u Usova and Janoslavice the southwest, Rohle in the west and Strupšín in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the castle belonging to Brníčko village was 1385th In 1446 came stones together with the field Zálesí to Rohle to rule the High City. In hooves register of 1677 are reported for the village 17 estate. 1834 consisted of 60 houses and stones had 408 inhabitants. Besides agriculture, the inhabitants earned extra income through home weaving and manufacturing of networks. As of 1848, the local entrepreneur Johann Anderlitschka gradually started the production of wire mesh.

After the abolition of patrimonial Stones / Kamenná formed in 1850 a municipality in the district chief city. 1873 Anderlitschka stones in a Drahtwarenfabrik. In 1881 a village school was established before the children had been enrolled by Rohle. In 1900, 553 people lived in 64 houses in the village. 1908 was a cardboard factory. 1930 lived in the town of 449 people, among them 18 were Czechs. After the Munich Agreement in 1938, the village was annexed by the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district chief city. 1939 bricks 461 inhabitants. After the Second World War made ​​the expulsion of the German inhabitants and repopulated with Czechs. In 1950, 367 people in 84 houses of Kamenná. At the end of 1960, the Okres Zábřeh was disbanded and assigned to the municipality the Okres Šumperk. Due to the factory, the place continued to grow, and consisted in 2001 of 92 houses with 590 inhabitants.
