Kamieniec, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Kamieniec ( German: Kamnitz ) is a village in the powiat Kłodzki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. It is located nine kilometers west of Klodzko ( Glatz ), whose rural community it belongs to.

Geography

Kamieniec is on the edge of the plateau between the Reinerz Weistritz and stones. Neighboring towns are Ruszowice in the northeast, Korytów in the east, in the southeast Roszyce, Szalejów Gorny in the south, Wolany the southwest, Niwa in the west and Suszyna in the northwest.

History

First known owner of Kamnitz was followed in 1350 Konrad von Reichenau, the 1361 Matthias von Pannwitz. It belonged since earliest times to the reign Koritau and was the parish by Pish Schukowitzgasse.

After the Silesian Wars Kamnitz came together with the county of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg to Prussia. For the year 1796 are shown: an estate ( Vorwerk ), a small Richtergut, nine farmers and gardeners and cottagers 25.

After the reorganization of Prussia Kamnitz belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was from 1816 to 1945 the county Glatz incorporated. 1939 counted 271 inhabitants. As a result of World War II Kamnitz fell in 1945 as the whole of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Kamieniec. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced persons from eastern Poland. 1975-1998 belonged to Kamieniec Voivodeship Wałbrzych.
