Kang Soo-yeon
Kang Soo- yeon ( Partly also written Kang Su- yeon, born August 18, 1966 in Seoul) is a South Korean actress.
Kang Soo- yeon met for the first time as a child star in 1971. She graduated from Korea University in Seoul.
She was awarded in 1987 for the film drama The Surrogate by Im Kwon- taek at the Film Festival in Venice as the first Korean artist with the award for Best Actress. She has advanced to the part of the Oknyo one of the most internationally renowned Korean movie stars.
For Aje aje bara aje ( The path of enlightenment ), also directed by Im, she was awarded Best Actress at the 27th Daejong Film Award (Seoul, 1989) as well as Best Actress at the Film Festival in Moscow 1989.
