The Kantega (also Kantaiga or Kangtega ) is a six-thousand in the Khumbu region of Nepal, east of Namche Bazar and south of the so-called Pangboche Hinku Himal. South of the Kantega are the Kyashar ( 6770 m) and Kusum Kanguru ( 6370 m), east of the Thamserku ( 6623 m), west Malanphulan ( 6573 m) and Peak 41 ( 6548 m) and the north-east Ama Dablam ( 6856 m).

The Kantega is connected by a ridge with the Thamserku. Both mountains are a prominent southern panorama of the outgoing of Namche Bazaar trekking routes. From its interim comb pours in north-east direction of the Phungi Glacier, who goes into deeper layers in a glacial stream, the Phungi Khola. From the south side of Kantega pours the mighty King Taiga glaciers of the south side of Hinku - Nup Glacier, which already belong to the Makalu Barun National Park -.
