Charles of Rottmanner ( born October 30, 1783 in Munich, † July 8, 1824 in branch) was a German poet, philosopher and politician.

Life

The son of the agricultural reformer and landowner Rottmanner Simon and Maria Anna Barbara Paur (1746-1828) studied law at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University in Munich and received his PhD in Dr. phil. During his studies he was a Bavarian- patriotic youth movement to the medical student Johann Nepomuk von Ringseis (1785-1880): " your romantic exuberance, not free of rapturous pose, the small but talented and high-minded group gave in poems a even if not artistically consistent, yet valid expression. At their most creative members were the medical student Joseph Loew and the jurist Karl Rottmanner. " From Rottmanners partisanship for the romance reflects its commitment to a reassessment of the Christian Middle Ages, as well as his collection of Bavarian folk songs.

Rottmanner later became a member of the Second Chamber of the Bavarian State Parliament, squire and writer.

His second wife was Maria Theresia Paur ( 1796-1837 ). On 10 July 1824 he was buried in branch.
