Karsibór, Świdwin County

Karsibór ( German name Karsbaum ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the municipality Brzeżno ( Briesen ) in a circle Świdwin ( Schivelbein ).

Geographical Location

Karsibór located 15 kilometers south of Świdwin. It is a farming village with scattered farmsteads. In the southwest borders of the place to the Jezioro Przytonko ( Prittener lake ), to the east by the river Rega. Karsibór is about the province road No. 162 Świdwin - Drawsko Pomorskie ( Pomerania ) in the branch Łabędzie ( Labenz ) or on a side street about Koszanowo ( Kussenow ) and Rzepczyno ( Repzin ) to reach. Świdwin station is on the railway line Stargard - Gdańsk.

History

In 1292 pledged Margrave Albrecht of Brandenburg, the country Schivelbein the Nikolaus von Werle is taken, indicating the associated lock Corse Castle ( = Karsbaum ). 1364 erhälz Otto the Romans by dividing the Brandenburg countryside with Margrave Ludwig, the Neumark with Schivelbein and the castles Klanzig (now Polish: KLACKO ) Ritzerow ( Rycerzewko ) Rützow ( Rydzewo ) and Karsbaum. Karsbaum was a fairly prosperous farming village. 1884 were counted 40 colonists and 13 owners.

1939 lived in the 2224.5 acre community 329 residents in 98 households. During this time there were seven farms in the village. The hilly landscape with meadow, forest and water was already a recreation area. The craft was represented by a blacksmith and a shoemaker. There was also a restaurant. Last municipality mayor before 1945 was Herbert Dallmann.

Karsbaum belonged with Dohna field ( Donatowo ) for official and civil registry district Klanzig ( KLACKO ) in the District Court area Schivelbein. Until the district reform in 1932 was in the range of the circle Schivelbein, the then district Belgard ( Persante ) came up.

Beginning in March 1945, Russian troops marched into Karsbaum. Karsbaum came into Polish hands and the indigenous population was expelled from the village. Today Karsbaum under the name Karsibór a part of the rural community Brzeżno ( Briesen ) is again resurrected circle Schivelbein.

Parish

Karsbaum was an independent parish, with the parishes Labenz ( Łabędzie ) and Repzin ( Rzepczyno ) the parish church in the county Labenz Schivelbein formed. It belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Pomerania in the Protestant Church of the Old Prussian Union. In 1940, the parish Karsbaum counted 346 members of the congregation who were cared for as the last German clergy of Rev. Wilhelm Rode.

Today Karsibór is part of the parish Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church.

The church was Karsbaumer ertbaut in 1856.
