Katrin Müller

Katrin Müller (born 31 March 1989 Dielsdorf ) is a Swiss freestyle skier. She specializes in the discipline of ski cross.

Biography

Müller grew up in Airolo on the Ticino and was the beginning of her career in sport an alpine driver. She took off in 2005 participated in FIS races, national junior races and championships, but could not achieve significant results. In the season 2006/ 07 she moved back to the ski cross and drove at the Junior World Cup 2007 in her home in fifth place. Her debut in the Freestyle World Cup had Müller on 12 December 2008 in Les Contamines. The first World Cup points they won four days later with 18th place in Flaine. The best result in its premiere season was a seventh place in Squawking mountain.

In the 2008 /09 season Mueller attended only one World Cup race with a knee injury. In the following winter 2009/10 they binned five times in the top ten. The first World Cup podium she managed 29 January 2011 with third place in Grasgehren. In March of the same year was followed by a second place in Hasliberg and another third place in Myrdalen - Voss. On February 26, 2012 Müller won her first World Cup victory in Götschen. With a total of four podiums they finished third in the ski cross World Cup rankings of the season 2011/12.
