Kemar Bailey-Cole

Kemar Bailey - Cole ( born January 10, 1992, Saint Catherine Parish ) is a Jamaican athlete who specializes in the 100 -meter run.

After a rather unsuccessful participation in the World Youth Championships in Bressanone 2009, he attracted international attention in 2012. As a fifth in the 100 meters at the Jamaican Championships, he qualified as a replacement for the Olympic 4 x 100 - meter relay team. In London, he started in the flow and helped Jamaica to the final, where the relay team without its use to win gold. Nevertheless, Bailey - Cole applies to its use in the flow as Olympic champion. On September 7, he ran in Brussels with 9.97 s for the first time under 10 seconds. With a win at the ISTAF in Berlin, he underlined his status as one of the greatest sprint talent.

In the Jamaican Championships, he secured a second place his participation in the World Championships in Moscow. In July, he came sixth in the two Diamond League meetings in Lausanne and Monaco, before he ended his competitive World Cup preparations with a relay race in London on July 27. At the World Championships 2013 in Moscow, he ran new personal best of 9.93 s 9.98 s in the semifinals in the final and finished fourth. With the Jamaican season he won the gold medal ahead of the United States. In Zurich he was charged with 10.02 s Sixth, the Berlin ISTAF with a weaker field of competitors he won in 10.04 s
