Kemy Augustien (2011)

Germain " Kemy " Agustien ( born August 20, 1986 in Tilburg ) is a Dutch football player. Since the summer of 2013, the Defensive Specialist is the Football League Championship participants Brighton & Hove Albion under contract.

Career

Association

Agustien started his professional career in his hometown at Willem II Tilburg. From 2004 he was a member there for senior squad. In summer 2006, he signed a contract with the Dutch club AZ Alkmaar top, which loaned him for the season 2006/ 07 at Roda JC Kerkrade. In Kerkrade, he was a regular player and could achieve two goals in 31 games. For the following season, he returned to Alkmaar, where he usually had the role of the complement player.

At the beginning of the 2008/ 09 Agustien joined on loan in the second English League for Birmingham City. An option to buy at end of season provides that Birmingham City can then sign him permanently for a fixed fee of two million euros. However, this option did not pull the club and Agustien went back to Alkmaar. This was due to injury that the player drew upon in the second half. Until then, he came to regular applications in the Englishman. However, his stay at the AZA was just entertaining. Was known early on 14 August 2009, that league rival RKC Waalwijk would borrow the defensive all-rounder. This signed on a one-year contract on loan. Before his departure Agustien could with the Alkmaar still celebrate winning the Johan Cruyff Schaal, the Dutch Supercup. In the final on 25 July 2009, he was not used. In Waalwijk to Agustien developed well after initial brief appearances and came to a regular game participation. In a total of 19 league games he was four times replaced one and nine times. In the summer of 2010, the defensive player finally solved Alkmaar and signed at the English Football League Championship club Swansea City Welsh playing a new contract.

National

Agustien was U-21 national team of the Netherlands. At the FIFA U -20 World Championship in 2005, he took part and completed two games for the Oranje. In 2009 he was appointed to the squad for the tournament of the U21 Toulon.
