Kent Ferguson

Kent Monroe Ferguson ( born March 9, 1963 in Cedar Rapids ) is a former American professional diver. He started in the art of jumping from 1 -meter and 3 -meter board. Ferguson once attended Olympic Games and was world champion in 1991.

Ferguson began eleven years with the water jump. He celebrated his first and also the greatest sporting achievements in 1991. He took in Perth for the first time participated in the World Cup. From the 3 -meter board, he was world champion before Tan Liangde and Albin Killat. In the same year he started in Havana and at the Pan American Games and won the contest by 3 -meter board again. The following year, Ferguson qualified for the Olympic Games in Barcelona. He started again from 3- m- board and reached the final, where he eventually became fifth.

In the following years, Ferguson missed due to a back injury, the highlights of the season. Only in 1996 he returned, but could not qualify for the Olympic Games in Atlanta itself. His last international competition was the 1998 World Cup in Perth, where he first took up in the 3 -meter synchronized diving and finished fifth.

Ferguson won six national titles.
