Cedar Rapids is a city and county seat of Linn County in the U.S. state of Iowa. According to census of 2010, the city has 126 326 inhabitants. It was named after the nearby Cedar River.

Well-known residents are or were, the artist Grant Wood, the Wright brothers, the historian William L. Shirer, Carl Van Vechten, and Dr. Alexander Lippisch.
