Kerry Armstrong
Kerry Michelle Armstrong ( born January 3, 1958 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian actress.
Life and achievements
Armstrong made his debut in 1974 in the TV series Marion. In the comedy Key Exchange ( 1985) she played alongside Danny Aiello one of the major roles. Larger roles they also took over in the produced for television war drama Come in Spinner (1990 ) and in the film drama Hunting (1991 ), which earned her a nomination for the Australian Film Institute Award. The to 2000 played in 1998 role in the television series SeaChange earned her a nomination for the 2000 Logie Award, which she won a year later after re- nomination. In 2001 she was awarded the Australian Film Institute Award for this role.
In the film drama Lantana (2001) Armstrong played the betrayed wife of the police officer Leon Zat (Anthony LaPaglia ). For this role she won the 2001 Australian Film Institute Award and - together with Barbara Hershey, Rachael Blake and other fellow - the IF Award. In 2002 she won the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award. In the same year she was nominated for the role in the television series MDA again for the Australian Film Institute Award. The supporting role in the film drama Oyster Farmer ( 2004) earned her another nomination for the 2005 Film Critics Circle of Australia Award. As a leading lady in the musical comedy Razzle Dazzle: A Journey Into Dance ( 2007) she was nominated for an Australian Film Institute Award and 2008 for the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award 2007.
Armstrong was at times married to the deceased in 1996, musician Brad Robinson. She has three children from other relationships.
