Khalilabad (Hindi: खलीलाबाद, Urdu: خلیل آباد Khalīlābād [ xʌli ː la ː ba ː d]) is a town in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh with around 40,000 inhabitants ( 2001 census). It is located in the northeast of the state 35 km west of Gorakhpur and 35 kilometers west of Basti. Khalilabad is the administrative seat of the district Sant Kabir Nagar.

Khalilabad bears his name (see - abad ) by Khalil -ur- Rahman, who was appointed by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb governor of Gorakhpur 1680.

By Khalilabad the National Highway 28 leads from Lucknow to Barauni. About the railway from Lucknow to Gorakhpur Khalilabad is connected to the railway network.
