Sant Kabir Nagar district

Sant Kabir Nagar (Hindi: संत कबीर नगर ) is a district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Administrative center is the city Khalilabad. The district is named after the poet saint Kabir (1440-1518), who is buried in the town in the district of Sant Kabir Nagar Maghar.

Geography

The district Sant Kabir Nagar is located in northeastern Uttar Pradesh and belongs to Basti Division. Neighboring districts are Basti in the West, Siddharthnagar in the north, Gorakhpur in the east and Ambedkar Nagar in the south.
