Khazar Lankaran FK

The FK Xəzər Lənkəran (German: FK Khazar Lankaran ) is an Azerbaijani football club from Lənkəran. The club plays in the top division of Azerbaijan, the Premyer Liqasi and 2007 was master of the country. The club colors are green and white.

History

The club was founded in 1975. The greatest success of the club 's return in 2007, when the Azerbaijani double ( league and cup ) could be celebrated. In the cup final 2007 the team against MKT Araz İmişli prevailed 1-0 and in the same year with two points ahead of Neftchi Baku master of Premyer Liqasi. Internationally, the club has played two games in the Champions League and UEFA Cup qualification, the biggest success so far was a draw. Through various sponsors (mainly oil companies ), the association is considered as Croesus in Azerbaijan's football.

Stadium

The home ground of the association is the Lənkəran City Stadium with a capacity of 15,000 seats.
