Kim Campbell

Kim Campbell PC, QC ( born March 10, 1947 in Port Alberni, British Columbia) is a Canadian politician.

Kim Campbell was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party. In 1989 she was appointed as Minister of Indian Affairs in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. From 1990 to 1993 she was Minister of Justice of Canada. In 1993 she became first leader of the Progressive Conservatives, and then act in the office of the first and only Prime Minister of Canada on 25 June 1993 to 4 November 1993.

At the general election in October 1993 but her party suffered a heavy defeat, Campbell joined shortly thereafter by her office back. In December 1993, she also resigned from the post of party chairman. Today she sits for her party in the Senate of Canada.

Campbell was from 1972 to 1983 with the mathematician and chess player Nathan Divinsky ( 1925-2012 ) married.
