King George V DLR station

King George V is a station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR ) in the London Borough London Borough of Newham. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 on the Pier Road North Woolwich in the district, right on the Südquai of King George V Dock. In contrast to almost all other stations of the DLR, this is on street level. A walkway leads to the Woolwich Ferry.

Was opened the station on 2 December 2005, together with the branch line from Canning Town. It replaced the North Woolwich Railway Station on the North London Line, which was closed a year later. Just six months before completion of the line, in June 2005, construction began on the extension to Woolwich Arsenal. This leads into a tunnel under the Thames through to the other side of the river, which opened on 12 January 2009.
