The church grove station ( Bz Kassel ) is a through station at kilometer 89.2 of the Main- Weser Railway. It is located very centrally in the west of the city center of the Hessian town church grove. Previously, the station was the starting point of Ohmtalbahn to Burg and low - Gemünden and Wohratalbahn Gemünden ( Wohra ).

History

Was opened the same time as the Main- Weser Railway on March 4, 1850 under the name Kirchhain (Bz Kassel) station. The continuous connection from Kassel to Frankfurt was opened on 15 May 1852. Before the trains only between Kassel and Giessen.

On April 1, 1900, the northern stretch of the Ohmtalbahn ( Kirchhain low - Ofleiden ) was opened as Kirchhainer circular path by the Prussian state railways. The reception building of Kirchhainer station was built in 1849 as a station and administration building of the Hessian State Railways. It runs from Treysa and Frankfurt ( M ) Hbf and is winged in Giessen with the pulling part of Dillenburg. Furthermore, there are two direct hourly by Regional Express to Frankfurt and Kassel.

With the small square of the railway station bus station consists of public transport in the villages around Kirchhain including those along the no longer served Ohmtalbahn.
