Kirill Skachkov

Kirill Skatschkow (Russian Кирилл Скачков; born August 6, 1987 in Novokuznetsk ) is a Russian tennis players. He is Vice - European Champion in doubles and Olympian in 2012.

Career

Skatschkow played in the Russian clubs CSKA VVS Samara, DESP Vladivostock, Gazprom Fakel Orenburg and Moscow Victoria. First international success he achieved at youth tournaments. In doubles with Stanislav Golovanov, he finished second at the Junior World Championship 2005 in Linz and third at the European Youth Championship 2007 in Prague. In the JEM in Prague he was also in mixed doubles with Yulia Prokhorova the semifinals.

In the 2008 /09 season he became Champion of Russia with the team Fakel Gazprom Orenburg, which entitled to participate in the ETTU Cup. This team won the 2009/10.

Since 2005 ( to 2013) Skatschkow participated in all World Table Tennis Championships for Russia. He reached in 2006 and 2010 with the team in sixth place. In 2011 he won the silver medal at the European Championships in doubles with Alexander Shibaev. A year later, he was second in the European Top -12 ranking tournament Europe. In 2013 he won the European Championship with the Russian team bronze.

In 2012 he qualified for participation in the Olympic Games, namely for the team competition. With the Russian team, he came in at number nine.

National league

In 2011 he moved from Victoria Moscow to the German Bundesliga to the TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen, where he (2013 ) is still active today.

Private

Kirill Skatschkow is married to the table tennis player Irina Skatschkowa playing with the DJK Offenburg in the Bundesliga 2 of the ladies.
