Kombat Armouring
Kombat Armouring Group is a Russian manufacturer of motor vehicles from Saint Petersburg.
Company History
The company was founded in 1985 as a design studio for vehicles. Mikhail Gorbachev was involved in the foundation. Since 1993 the company has specialized in armored vehicles.
Rolling stock
From the first prototype Laura made two copies. For driving the coupe made an engine of Lada, drove the front wheels.
In 1987 he was the prototype Ohta, which was exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show. This was a minivan based Lada, again with front wheel drive.
The Luas Proto was the first prototype four-wheel drive.
1990 followed the pilot with all-wheel drive and the coupe Laura, which was driven by a vehicle -mounted center-mounted engine from Audi.
Between 1995 and 1998 some kit cars emerged named Laura 3 based on the Pontiac Fiero.

Armored vehicles
Well-known product is the T -98, a heavily armored car, which is available in the shelling classes B2 through B7. It resembles a money transport. The need for such a vehicle resulted from the security situation for the very wealthy part of the Russian population. The optional equipment consists inter alia of 5 cm thick bulletproof glass, steel cladding and increased interior space. With a weight of just under four tons of gasoline consumption is 25-35 liters per 100 km.
The T -98 is available as a pickup and station wagon.
