Kosmonosy

Kosmonosy ( German Kosmanos ) is a town with 3917 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It lies immediately north of Mlada Boleslav in 243 m above sea level. Level and belongs to the Okres Mladá Boleslav. The land area is 1161 ha

Geography

Kosmonosy located in the floodplain of the Jizera ( Iser). Neighboring towns are Debř, Laškov and Bradlec in the west, to the north and Chudoplesy Horni Stakory in the east. South of the city has grown together with Mladá Boleslav, it borders on the premises of the Škoda Works and a large housing estate.

In the northeast, the hills rise Baba (362 m) and Dědek ( 349 m), which were declared a nature reserve in 1950 Vrch Baba u Kosmonos.

History

The first mention is in a donation list to the Order of St. John of 1186th

Between 1560-1570 was Adam Kraiger of Kraigk a fortress built in the Renaissance style. 1650 Hermann acquired Czernin of Chudenitz the rule. At the 1688 Hermann Jakob Czernin donated by Chudenitz Piarist a high school was connected, which became the focus of education across the Bunzlauer circle. In place of the wooden church of St. Martin was born in 1702 from the Loreto chapel, which is considered an architectural jewel of the city. From 1703 to 1709 designed Giovanni Battista Alliprandi the celebrations for Jakob Hermann Czernin of Chudenitz around and created a castle with three wings. Humprecht Johann Czernin of Chudenitz gave the place the freedom of trade. During the reign of Chudenitz the Cross Church, Loretto Chapel and the Campanile emerged.

1738 sold the Lords of Chudenitz their possessions in Kosmonosy to the Hrzán of Harras. Next owner was Joseph Count von Bolza, 1764, a textile manufacturer with bleaching and dyeing on the Iser founded, which later became the textile printing factory TIBA was born.

After Joseph II reform of the church, the monastery was abolished and his property fell to the religious fund. The school was moved to Jungbunzlau. In 1793 Johann Josef Berger directing the monasteries and erected in a textile factory for printed scarves.

In the 18th century the Counts Mirbachstrasse bought the place. 1836 who converted Graf Gotthard Mirbachstrasse the palace complex in the Empire style. 1867 was acquired by the National Committee earlier Leitenbergersche factory in the old Piarist for a conversion to a lunatic asylum. Since 1897 a psychiatric hospital is implemented therein.

Under the next owner of the castle, Baron Klinger, 1905 was a modernization of the facades. On October 26, 1913 Emperor Franz Joseph brought the market town Kosmanos to the city.

After the Second World War Kosmonosy was to Mladá Boleslav, which had now been extended up to the city limits, incorporated. In 1954 it received its independence again in 1974 and affiliated again against the will of the people. In 1991 the city was again back their independence. 1994 joined the community Horni Stakory at his own request Kosmanosy.
