Kotórz Mały

Small Kottorz (Polish: Kotorz ​​Maly ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Small Kottorz located in the municipality Turawskie in Opolski powiat (district of Opole ) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1295. Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis 1295 the place is mentioned as " Chotors ". In 1865 the town had 19 farmers, 13 gardeners and 28 cottagers.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 267 voters voted to remain in Germany and 305 for Poland. Small Kottorz remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 970 inhabitants in the village. On 19 May 1936, the town was renamed in small cooking. 1939, the place had 1,059 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Kotorz ​​Maly and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Opolski. On 8 March 2012, the City also received the official German place names Small Kottorz.
